Discover which Moments suit you

In the Somnox app you’ll find Moments: special breathing exercises and programs you can use alongside the regular way of using your Somnox. Think of Moments as additional options to relax, next to the main experience where you directly adjust timer, breathing tempo, intensity, and audio.


When to choose a Moment?

  • If you have a specific goal, like winding down before sleep, reducing stress, or improving focus.

  • If you’d like to follow a guided exercise with a structured flow or spoken instructions.

  • If you want to experiment with different breathing rhythms or patterns beyond your standard setting.


Types of Moments

For a specific purpose

You’ll find Moments for sleep, calm, and focus. Try different ones to discover what works best for you.

Based on Your Tempo

These Moments start from your natural breathing tempo. The experience feels more intuitive, because Somnox uses your own breathing as the starting point. You can easily adjust your tempo in the app. These Moments are found in the Your Tempo category.

Guided programs

In addition to single Moments, you’ll also find programs: a series of Moments around a theme. These programs often combine breathing with spoken guidance.


Starting and adjusting Moments

  1. Open the app and go to Moments.

  2. Choose a Moment and read the short description.

  3. Tap Set on Somnox to start. Somnox will immediately play the selected Moment.

  4. When the chosen time ends, Somnox will automatically switch off.

💡 Somnox remembers your last choice.
If you restart Somnox, it will automatically play your most recently selected Moment, until you switch back to the main Somnox experience or select a new Moment.

Adjustable settings within Moments

Depending on the type of Moment, you can change:

  • Time: Set how long your Moment lasts (up to 120 minutes). For breathing exercises we recommend 5–10 minutes. Using Somnox in bed? Choose a time just longer than it takes you to fall asleep, so you won’t notice it switching off.

  • Your Tempo: Adjust the tempo to match your natural breathing at rest. Use the app’s “flower” animation to find a pace that feels good, or simply count your breaths per minute while sitting calmly.


Create your own Moment

Want full control? You can also create your own custom Moment. Choose from two types:

  • Slow Down
    Somnox starts at your chosen begin tempo and gradually slows down during the session. Ideal for gradually releasing stress and tension.

  • Exercise
    Somnox breathes at a constant tempo, but you can adjust each phase of the breathing pattern: inhale, hold, exhale, and pause. Perfect for targeted breathing techniques.
