Slow breathing reduces stress and has a calming effect on your body and mind. This in turn contributes to a better night's sleep. Breathing regulation is therefore one of the most important functions of the Somnox Sleep Robot.
You can set the Sleep Robot manually. You determine the start and end frequency of the breathing yourself. When you hold the Sleep Robot in such a way that you can feel the breathing, your breathing will automatically synchronize with that of the Sleep Robot. Because the breathing rhythm of the Sleep Robot and therefore yours, is gradually slowing down, the body relaxes and your brain gets the signal that it is time to go to sleep.
You can also choose to have the Sleep Robot adapt to your breathing rhythm. The Sleep Robot will synchronize with you by measuring your breathing rhythm. It is therefore important to hold the Sleep Robot against your chest or belly so that the it can measure your breathing rhythm using the motion sensor and adapt itself to it. Through the 'Breathing' tab in the app, you can choose both options and try them out.
